Salary

The start of the week is Monday, and the cut off day for that week is on Sunday. You work two weeks in hand and you will then be invoiced every Thursday/Friday, and receive payment from the previous week on Fridays. After your initial two weeks of working, you will then be paid weekly each Friday. Important to note: You will always be owed one weeks payment, which will be paid on termination of your agreement. Any outstanding fines would be deducted and the remainder paid to you inline with your signed contract for services agreement.
No. Although the work is pretty much guaranteed, particularly in high seasons, you are responsible for paying your own taxes as a subcontractor.
Depending on the region you live in, and whether you’re a porter, a driver or an electrical appliance engineer, your hourly rate will vary. But expect to receive up to £16 per hour by run 401. Use the Income Checker on our home page for a more detailed report.
A payment on top of your base hourly rate. A milestone premium allows you to earn more as you complete more routes. At each milestone your hourly rate increases.
£27.50 extra per day on top of your base hourly rate. We strive on complete customer satisfaction, and after each of your delivery jobs the customer will receive a text/email asking how their delivery/installation went. For every 5 x 5* rated comments you receive, you will receive £55 per crew. Ultimately, if you work 5-6 days a week you could earn an additional monthly payment of up to £500 – £600, for going the extra mile for our customers.
After working your initial 2 weeks ‘after deployment’, you will then receive one weeks pay plus your £300 training completion payment. After deployment means once you receive your first route, on your newly assigned ‘Crew Number’.

No, for insurance reasons all vehicles are kept on site overnight.
No, all vehicles are fully insured and ready for you to drive.
We deploy the latest Mercedes 3.5T manual transmission Luton vans, of which most also come with air conditioning for those very hot days.
The company. You will be given a plastic wallet every morning of which also contains a dedicated fuel card for your vehicle. Simply provide your registration and pin at the kiosk when fuelling and we’ll handle the bill.
Yes. All vehicles undergo the correct maintenance procedures. However, you are responsible for using our Samsara app in the mornings to carry out a vehicle safety and condition check before leaving the depot.
Yes. The vehicles have built in telematics to assess your driving pattern, and a score will be given to help you to adjust your driving pattern accordingly for continued highway safety.

Products

Mainly white goods such as: – Washing machines – Dishwashers – Fridge freezers – American fridge freezers – And also other products such as:- Mattresses – Smaller electrical goods – Garden furniture etc
Yes, as a driver/porter, you will be given training on how to install appliances at customers’ premises. These installations are called “Wet Connections.” Electrical appliance engineers, on the other hand, will be expected to install electrical appliances such as hobs, ovens, cookers, and integrated appliances. Once again, all training is provided before such installations.
Yes, you must be physically able to lift appliances without causing damage to either yourself, appliances or customers’ premises. This particular job can be very rewarding but it’s also very tiresome, as you can be lifting heavy items up stairs or around bends.
Yes, some customers want their old appliances to be disconnected and taken away. If this service is requested as part of the job on your HHT, it will show as a ‘Scrap collection’ or a ‘Trade-in item’. We simply take the appliance away of which is also a standard if the customer is a 5* customer.

Training

Yes. We pay you for a block of 6 days of training, however you must complete all 6 days in order to be invoiced and paid. The 6 days of training consist of 2 days in the classroom and 4 days On The Road with a trainer, helping you to be prepared for going out on your own as a new crew. Rates vary by region so speak to your onboard team concerning training rates.
Classroom based training will be presentation and tablet based with quiz assessments. You will be covering modules such as Health and Safety and Product/Manual Handling. OTR (on the road) training, will be practical daily assignments you can expect to be doing once being officially deployed as a crew. This will include: – Vehicle checks – Loading your vehicle – Making pre-calls to customers – Delivering and uninstalling/installing new an old appliances You will be on the road with an experienced trainer and will receive a practical understanding of all the things you have learnt in the classroom.
You can confirm your training date and location instantly from your welcome email. In the meantime, your documents will be assessed and if there is any issue with your documents you will be notified prior to attending. If all your documents are verified and read to go, we’ll be looking forward to greeting you on the open day of your choice.
Yes. The drivers assessment is to assess your handling of the type of van you will be driving on a day to day basis. If successful, you will be driving a 3.5 tonne Mercedes Luton van.
4 to 5 hours for Day 1. Depending on how quickly we can get through all the modules and quizzes, but generally speaking 4 to 5 hours. Day 6 classroom training is generally completed within 3 to 4 hours.
